Once there was a little girl, named Sarah, that used to follow her big brother to the local bowling alley to play pinball. There was never enough money for playing pinball so the development of an entrepreneur began.
Paper routes, selling painted rocks door to door or in combination with lemonade stands, street carnivals, etc all to get more quarters for pinball.
Next came pinball competitions in Chicago and Las Vegas. Many trophies, prizes, and title such as 'North American Ladies Pinball Champion' were won.
At Sarah's house the dining room did not have the usual dining room table and hutch. Sarah's philosophy was 'why have another room to sit and eat in?'. Pinball machines and other arcade games filled the room. Kids from the neighbourhood loved coming over to play, of course.
In 2003 In Play Inc was created realizing a need for a place where kids and adults alike can enjoy some fun and games in a clean and friendly place. Sarah's pinballs are all still here and many other games and activities to be enjoyed by all.

- 2005 - Added Rock Climbing and Bear Making
- 2006 - Expansion of food services so we can offer you a one stop destination for great food and tons of fun for all ages.
2007 - Added Webkinz
2007 - All of our birthday parties now have a personal host. This has proved to be of great value to our birthday party parents! Kids love it too.
2008 - Kids night out every Saturday was added to give kids, and parents, a chance to have fun on their own. No parents allowed. Parents will have to entertain themselves for the night.
2009 - In Play Newmarket moved to our new home on Leslie St. Almost double the space and a great big kitchen.
2009 - December we opened our much awaited indoor playground. It's the biggest playground in all of York Region!
